In the Philippines are several internet companies: Globe, Planet Cable, Converge and there is the company PLDT, which stands for Philippines Landline Drama Telecom. At least that’s what you would think if you are a customer. The customers are not being taken serious, they have to keep on paying for terrible connections, terrible customer service and even the worst ONLINE replies of the accounts of PLDT_cares and PLDThome and PLDT. This blog shows 3 examples of how the customer services acts towards it’s customers
The CEO of PLDT is never replying on tweets, because he knows his company is bad, but he only shows online his expensive gadgets with fake speed results. How I know it’s fake? Because there has NEVER been such a speed like what they show in the image AND because if you use other/real speedtests, you will see that PLDT is not paying them to look good! I did test several speedtests to see if what they show you is true. Don’t worry, I know how it works.
The information in these 3 examples below are not made up, they happened for real.
Not only for 1 or 2 customers, no for hundreds / thousands of customers. Please read carefully before you want to get a connection by this company.
FACT 1: ASKING PLDT A QUESTION:
Customer: Asks PLDT a question
PLDT: Copy paste message, we’ll be waiting / we reply right away!
Customer: sends PLDT a DM with all info
PLDT: doesn’t reply in 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 24 hours … still no reply
Customer: sends messages
PLDT: Copy paste message, send us your DM
FACT 2: SENDING A COMPLAINT TO PLDT:
Customer: files a complaint
#PLDT: you need to pay your outstanding balance first
Customer: sends payment
PLDT: does nothing , next invoice
Customer: complain again
PLDT: does nothing, writes message that you have to pay the outstanding balance first
Customer: NO! FIX MY PROBLEM FIRST
PLDT: WE CUT YOU OFF IF YOU DON’T PAY!
( and this goes round and round if the customer believes that PLDT will fix something)
FACT 3: ASKING FOR TECHNICIAN:
Customer: We need technician, now!
PLDT: We make a ticket for you and the technician comes soon!
Customer: Waitin 3 days, calls PLDT again; WHERE IS MY TECHNICIAN
PLDT: The technician will come in 4 weeks.
Customer: THAT IS NOT NORMAL! I will not pay the bill because of bad connection
PLDT: If you do not pay the bill we will not send technician
Customer: Pays the bill
*** waiting for technician ***
Customer: Why the technician did not come yet?
PLDT: The problem is solved
Customer: NO! I still have the same problem! No technician came here
PLDT: We make a new service ticket
Customer: I WANT THE TECHNICIAN TOMORROW! I AM WAITING 4 WEEKS!
PLDT: Please pay your outstanding balance
Customer: SEND ME THE TECHNICIAN TO FIX THE PROBLEM! NOW!
PLDT: Sorry we can not send technician with outstanding balance
Customer: is paying outstanding balance
*** waiting a week for technician ***
Customer: calling PLDT: WHERE IS THE TECHNICIAN?
PLDT: Sorry, but there is no ticket in our system
(this story can continue for months, and PLDT force you to pay without solving the problem)
These are real facts which show you, as a customer, that PLDT does not care about you as a customer. They only see you as a person who will pay them. They do NOT care about you.
The best thing to do? Stop paying your bills and go to a different internet provider.
If PLDT is not doing what it promised, there is no right to keep the connection available.
Officially you can file a notice of default (PLDT has no idea what it is) and the contract is gone by then
Do not fear their stories about that you have to pay. No need! But file the complaints and the notice of default! Do not tolerate their behaviour against you as a customer; YOU HAVE CUSTOMER RIGHTS! NEVER FORGET THAT!
