Hello peepz, this time a blog (or just a nice message from me) in English. Why? Because I am sure that everyone should be able to read what I have to say.
I know that in, what we call, the “Western World” we believe that every woman has got many rights and that things are going amazing. In a world where that would be true, many things would not happen like they are still happening in 2018.
BUT! Now I want to talk about something else: about my experience in the Philippines and how they look at the relationship between a man and a woman!
Having a relationship with a Filipina is amazing! The country is amazing, the people are amazing and the climate is much better (since I am from the Netherlands you understand why). But there are some thing which I find kinda strange.
When a Filipina walks with a white guy and they do not wear a (couple)ring, all other people almost believe that the girl is just a hooker and/or that the guy is not serious with her. I did face the differences myself: walking without a ring together … or walking with a ring together! What people say on the street is really crazy:
– Without a ring: OH HE WILL LEAVE HER SOON AGAIN!
– With a ring: WOW SHE IS SUCH A LUCKY GIRL!
When you are together, a woman only got the respect when you are quickly married. Something which sounds strange in my ears since maybe someone looks nice in the beginning, but turns out to be an ass after some months or years!
A single mother has almost no respect in the Philippines and almost no guy wants to be with a girl who has kids. A single mom has to work so hard all day long to keep things going on and to take care of her kids. These women need to get so much respect for all they do … but no: people think they are kinda bad.
A Filipina wants to do everything for the guy. All the cleaning, all the cooking, all the washing and so on. As a Dutch guy I am kinda annoyed with that attitude, because I am raised like: A WOMAN AND A MAN ARE EQUAL! YOU CAN SHARE EVERYTHING WHAT HAS TO BE DONE!
Recently we had some guests who were surprised that I was doing the dishes:
“IS HE REALLY DOING THAT? YOU DONT DO THAT?” were just 2 questions my girl heard.
She replied: “YEAH HE ALWAYS DOES THAT BECAUSE HE WANTS TO DO IT”.
I find it hard to believe that people would use a woman to do all the things for them. It sounds not normal in my ears. It looks like slavery in my eyes. But, when we look at (what we call) the 3rd world countries AND when we look at our (amazing) western world .. are we not still miles behind of what should be done?
For me a man and a woman really should be equal .. that means in the tasks you do in house, but also in what salary you earn for the same amount of work, the respect you earn on the street (guys with only shorts is OK but a girl with a short short and a short shirt is already called a slut) and so on!
Maybe all of this can be done when we have more respect for eachother.
So let’s make the world a better place for ALL of us. Let’s have more respect.
